Asta Norkute was born in Lithuania (town of Mažeikiai) in 1972. 2012 she moved with her family to Sweden. 2000 – 2004 Graduated from the Šiauliai University- Faculty of Arts, major – graphic, received her Bachelor of Arts, then in 2007 she obtains degree of Master of Fine Arts. 2006 – 2007 studied in Institute of Arts Education University of Maria Ciurie - Sklodowska of Lublin, Prof. G.D. Mazurek . Since 2000 she have actively participated in group exhibition and art projects on several places in the Sweden and abroad. Since 2013 she is member of Skaraborgs Konstgrafiska Verkstad in Västra Götaland region in Sweden. Work with different printmaking techniques such as etching, silkscreen, dry point, intaglio, woodcut, but she has also been experimenting other printing processes. She began to develop the idea of combining graphic and drawing, based on details or abstract elements. Work with art, organize art workshops for children with focus on creative graphic based in printing traditional ways. ’’ I do what I feel, express human emotions and feelings. My graphic idea is to try to touch what is invisible. I call it – the enjoy of discovery.
