Karen Dugas studied at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and the University of Alberta where she received her MVA in printmaking in 1982. She has taught at the University of British Columbia and the University of Alberta (1982-90). She has exhibited in most of the major print biennials and has received 10 awards including the Prize by the Jury in Ljubljana, Yugoslavia in 1985. She has had several shows abroad including “Beyond Printmaking : Images in Objects”, Galleria U Jezuitow, Poznan, Poland in 2009.
