Born in the Gaspé peninsula (Quebec, Canada), Renée Chevalier has lived and worked in Montreal since 1975. A multidisciplinary artist, she is now more particularly focused on digital photography and printmaking. In 2017 during the 5th edition of the International Contemporary Mini Print of Kazanlak, Bulgaria. She won the 1st prize in the Experimental Mini Print category. In 2019, the artist run Center Voix Visuelle awarded her the Desjardins Prize at the exhibition of the 14th international edition of miniature digital print. She regularly participates in solo exhibitions such as la maison de la Culture de Pointe-aux-Trembles in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 2018, the artist run Center Voix Visuelle in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in 2020 and in group shows. Her work is found in public, private and corporate collections spanning the world from Russia, Spain, Portugal, Japan, Bulgaria, South Korea and Canada.
