Janet Sang is an artist based in Brighton, where she makes prints at Volcanic Editions. She is a member of the Printmakers Council and an Associate member of the RE. Her screen prints are complex and many-layered, often having more than twenty layers of ink. In them she combines imagery from hand-drawn, photographic and digitally-mediated sources, and enjoys the scope the medium offers for putting together the unexpected and for revealing systems of representation.
