Born in Warsaw. Member of the Society of Graphic Art Creators –“Kissprint”, cooperating with group “Positive Art” and organization “Young thanks to Art”. Her artworks were presented at over 61 collective and 11 individual exhibitions, not only in Poland, but also in Germany, France, Bulgaria, Japan and China. She experiments with traditional graphic techniques and alternative photographic processes, adjusting them to new challenges. She finds it exciting. As an artist, Katarzyna Betlińska is constantly looking for new artistic fields, but consistently comes back to the technique of biochromatic gum. This way she tames the world that seems to rush and lose the hierarchy of valuable things, also the value of existence of a single man. Feeling lost and hopeless is common to many of us. But artist, against all ads, emphasises what is important to her – the most valuable and inalienable good – individuality. According to Katarzyna Betlińska thanks to modern art the border between self-presentation and the artist’s commentary disappears. Creation is the evidence of the truth.
