Michiko Suzuki began her career in Tokyo in 1975. Suzuki graduated Musashino Art University with honor. And studied with pro. Katuro Yoshida (1943~1999), a prominent member of The MONO School of artists. Suzuki has twice been awarded prized from legendary the Contemporary Art Exhibition of Japan: the Bridgestone Museum Prize in 1993 and the Mie Prefecture Museum Art Prize in 1995. 2002, accepted the invitation from University of Alberta, Printmaking department to be International Guest artist in Edmonton, Canada. 2003, accepted the invitation to be the first artist-residence in the Printmaking department, Capilano Univers Continuar a ler...3, accepted the invitation to be the first artist-residence in the Printmaking department, Capilano University in North Vancouver. She continues to exhibit regularly in international print exhibitions and has received numerous awards. Suzuki’s works are collected in many international public museums, including Canada. In 2009 Suzuki had SOLO show at Penticton Art Gallery, B.C. Canada. In 2010 Suzuki received British Columbia Arts Council Grant. In 2016, had SOLO show at Burnaby Art Gallery in Vancouver, Canada. In 2016, Suzuki returned to Japan with Wayne Eastcott who is her husband. And Suzuki jointed on International Print Exhibition, Canada and Japan at Kyoto Municipal Museum of art in Kyoto. 2017, Jointed as a panel of judges for TAWARA award in Tokyo Art &Music National University.
