Kanchan (born New Delhi 1957) started out as a printmaker after successfully studying art in New Delhi, Santiago (Chile), Berlin, and Paris (Ecole Des Beaux Arts, Paris ) She received the International Print Biennale Award Bardford, U.K in1986 She has also received British Council Grant in 1993; French Government Scholarship in1984-85; Research Garhi Grant in1982; Junior Fellowship from Ministry of HRD in1990 to 1992 and Senior Fellowship 2019-2021 . She was a Lecturer at College of Art, New Delhi till 2005.
